Chronology

1999- “Enerel” College was established by decree number 1999/5/03-97 of Minister of Education and Culture as a first private nursing school in Mongolia. 2014 – 15th anniversary was celebrated widely together with staffs, students, alumni community, partner organizations and hospitals. 2015-became “Enerel” Institute by decree number 2015/6/10-A218 of minister of Education and Culture. EMI is actively working on extending it’s international relationship, so far we have cooperation on academic research, professional training and student exchange with American Nurses Association, KwanWoon University - Korea, Matsuda University – Japan.

State accreditation and programs

EI attested by Ministry of Education Culture, Science and Sports /MECSS/ in 2007, 2014. EI was accredited by State Accreditation Agency in 2011 and applied for second accreditation in 2018. As state accredited educational institute students can apply for all state and private announced incentives, student loans and scholarships. Our progams: 4 year programs - Nurse bachelor, Midwife bachelor, Pharmacist, 5 year programs - Public Health Doctor, 3 year programs (diploma degree) – Nurse, Midwife, Beautician, Public Health Nurse, Technician Pharmacist, 1 year program - Assistant Nurse, Family service worker.

Alumni

Because nursing and midwifes are most demanding occupations not only in Mongolia, but all around the world, 95% of our graduates are directly employed by hospitals, right after they receive professional license. EI today graduating healthcare professionals in 11 subjects. In 2018 it was 17th graduation of Nurses, 13th graduation of Midwifes, 2nd graduation of Pharmacists, and so far 2000 graduates of EI are working in various hospitals and healthcare position countrywide.

Academic research & practice

Student academic research conference is held each year and during 20 years 3 major countrywide healthcare projects was initiated and completed by EI. Quarterly publishes “Nurse” newspaper, and started to publish “Enerel Research” journal since 2014. Student practice is conducted on nearly 20 major hospitals in UB, such as First Central Hospital of Mongolia, Second Central Hospital, 3d Central Hospital, National Cancer Research Hospital, National Infectious Disease Center, National Dermatology Center, National Children Hospital, National Mental Health Center, Level 1,2 Hospitals and the others.

Campus

EMI’s is located right next to city center in 2400 square meter university building, Sportscomplex plus dormitory for students from countryside. Facility provides library with more than 10 000 textbooks, printed and digital resources, free WiFi internet, canteen, and computer laboratory with flexible working hours. Lecture halls, laboratories for anatomy, surgery, pathophysiology, nursing, emergency, public health, pharmacy, midwifery, child care, computer, biology, chemistry, linguistic cabinets.

Public relations, and recreational activities

Each year held students competition by basketball, volleyball, international draughts, and cultural festival. Indtroduction day for new students and Knowledge contests. Beside contest held inside school EI also actively participate to all cultural and sports events in Mongolia and among other universities and won many Golden, Silver and Bronze medals.

ADMISSION

Eligibility: secondary education.

Registration:

Registration will start on 0.1 July at EI or registration offices on provincial centers of each Aimag. Enroller need to bring fillet registration form, secondary education certificate, copy of national id, State examination result certificate, 2 photo, 10 000 MNT.

Admission:

Bachelor student need to have scored higher of equal to 410 on State examination on one of following subjects: chemistry, biology, public science, math, English, physics. For Diploma students State Exam score not required.

Contract with EI:

Students who successfully registered and payd tuision fee for first year will need to make contract with EI during 25-30 August.
